Senior Product Designer | AI Behavioral Design

AI behavioral design.
Functional prototypes.
Live systems. Shipped work.

My focus is designing AI systems and building working prototypes that make the interaction tangible. Everything below is live and explorable.

I'm Jodi Paige-Lee, a Senior Product Designer specializing in AI behavioral design. I write the spec, make the interaction decisions, build the thing, and test it against people who aren't me.

Below is my open work, live and explorable. My client case studies contain confidential work under NDA, so they are anonymized and available on request.

The model labels. The math decides. The human makes the call.

A model is good at reading something and saying what it sees. It is not good at being accountable for the conclusion. So in every system I build, the model produces labels, a deterministic engine it cannot reach computes the outcome, and a person decides what to do about it. I built that three times before I noticed it was a pattern. All three are below.

"She is great at capturing those ideas and coming up with Figmas that demonstrate exactly what we should be building from the software engineering perspective, and communicates like a true professional both up and down the pipeline."

Ryan King

Conversational AI Architect

"She is a quick study, even with extremely complex systems/products. Jodi has zero reluctance and is equal parts pragmatic and disciplined. In a tech industry where ambitious projects essentially mandate learning on the job — Jodi has the experience to avoid pitfalls, and generate product and design wins."

Matt Queen

R&D for ambitious software applications

"She joined as the company's first and currently only designer… She led the rollout of Dovetail at the company, which was a huge value-add for both the team and our client. And she's constantly learning — she was one of the first at the company to explore how AI could support design work, using it to speed up prototyping and bring ideas to life."

Let's Build the Layer Users Trust

The routing, the guardrails, and the moment a system hands off to a human. That's the layer I build.
